Switch 2014 Alloys for 2019 steelies

I'll probably buy a 2019 base hatch which comes with steel wheels. Before I sell my 2014 Impreza Premium, I thought I might Switch the 2014 Alloys for the 2019 steelies and rebalance the new tires. Any reason not to do this? They're both 16" wheels.

It will fit fine, I don't see any reason not to do it. Just be careful not to break those stupid wheel covers when you go to take the steelies off.

They will fit fine, perhaps take the time to have the older rims powder coated black?

How much more is a Premium? Do you really want used parts on a brand new car? It should work fine but seems like a lot of trouble and the premium offers a lot more than a base besides alloy wheels. Will a buyer notice you switched out steelies and offer less or simply not want to buy your car? Think this one over. You can do it but not sure if you will save any money for all the hassle and time required. Either way, hope you get the 2019!

One thing to look into would be the tire pressure sensors. I remember reading in this forum that Subaru changed the tire sensors to ones with a different frequency. Might want to search for that in the forum, otherwise, you may have to dismount 8 tires to switch out the sensors!

Had the tires, rims, swapped & rebalanced today. Car looks great, drives fine, then motor blew up 15 miles later (see other post). Maybe the car liked its steel shoes and was pissed.
