Just finished installing and adjusting Beamtech LED low beam headlights which I purchased on eBay.

Stock low beams

Left Beamtech low beam (H-11) installed pointing a bit high.

Turned blue adjuster counter-clockwise with a 6mm allen key which lowered beam to match right side.

Installed right side Beamtech which was also a bit high and adjusted it to match left side.

High beams (9005) that came with purchase had one lamp DOA so not installed and have notified vendor.

Yup >:)

Just got in from driving in the dark. Huge difference. The wife is verrrrry grateful :x
And, nobody flashed us but as i said in the first post I lowered them a bit so they would line up pretty close to the halogens. Probably a good idea for anybody using Beamtechs :wink2:

1. Remember to align the beam height of both your OEM headlight bulbs first.
2. Then install only one Beamtech so you can match height to an original halogen.
3. Install the second Beamtech and match height to the first.

In my case the beamtechs aimed higher than OEM and may have annoyed oncoming drivers had I not lowered them.

I love them, they make a HUGE difference. The high beams are great too. I got both the low and highs as well as the night harness kit for my '17 Sport. Maybe I'm getting older (not really...in my mid 30's) or maybe the stock beams were just pretty low but I am 100% satisfied with how well I can see with the Beamtechs...I plan on getting a set for my wife's '15 Forester.

I work nights...and have for the last 10 years....so headlights are extremely important to me. Before this car all I ever used were Sylvania Silverstar Ultras and I was so very happy with them. When I got my Impreza I decided to look elsewhere. Ended up with Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited and thought they were better than the Silverstars. I had wanted to go to LED but could not justify the price. After hearing so many people rave about these I took the leap and got a set and I absolutely LOVE them!

The directions from Senior Gar are the best out there, and the exact way that I did it. I have seen where people put tape on the garage door to mark where the factory lights were, but I went about it the same way as he did and it worked great for me. Had the high and low in for probably 6 months now had have yet to have anyone flash their lights at me. About a month ago I went ahead and got a set for my fogs, not as happy as I was with the headlights but they are staying to keep everything the same.

I had good luck with these.

Give a forum review and they knock 10% off.
But the output and cutoff line is very good.

I tried a few different leds. Any led or hid bulb in a factory fog light housing will scatter pretty bad vs using them In a headlight reflector housing.

I agree that the best option is the complete light - not just the bulb. But will have to chew on the $175 for a bit before spending ;-) Thanks for the link!

just looked at. me personally I will pass on that design as the S1 design works very well.

also, one thing to remember as to why the BeamTech and GTR LED bulbs work so well is the placement of the chips. the closer you can resemble the factory halogen bulb the better it will work in a reflector housing. the chips on the S1 Beamtech are in the exact same location as the filament for the halogen bulb, as is the GTR Lighting bulbs. I never tried the GTR bulbs but I do know they work well also. I always wanted to do a side by side test with those and the BT. just to see if there were any differences other than price.

Are they plug and play for the halogens? How about the DRL/high beam
