2018 Subaru Impreza Wins Best Resale Value Award

Good news for those who plan to resell their 2018 Subaru Impreza in the future because Kelley Blue Book (KBB) gave it, for the fifth consecutive year in a row, the Best Resale Value award in the compact car category.

KBB is recognized by both buyers and automakers as the leading vehicle valuation and automotive research company, thus their depreciation analysis is usually spot on. For 2018 model-year vehicles, they’ve taken a look at the model’s projected retained value over the first five years of new-car ownership.

Using what they consider the “best research and analysis process in the industry”, KBB has given the 2018 Subaru Impreza a 51.3% resale value at 36 months and 34.3% at 60 months. These resale value projections are slightly higher than what you’d find in the 2018 Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla iM, both of which places 2nd and 3rd respectively.

No matter if you end up leasing an Impreza for three years or decide to keep it for 10, your total ownership costs is greatly affected by the amount of money you, or the dealership, get back when it’s sold again. “Simply choosing a vehicle that has better resale value than the others on your shopping list is one of the easiest ways to save money when buying a new car”, says KBB.

Here in Vermont where roadsalt is used.... I drive until it is too rusty to pass annual safety inspection. (which is NEVER long enough to actually wear anything out or have the wheels fall off)
