It was imported. Its only available in the Japan market but there is a company on the west coast "RHDJapan.com" that I was able to order it through.

There is a tax benefit for trading in a car over selling one separately, differs state to state, and I forget what it was here.

Your trade in value is removed from the overall taxable MSRP when you trade in the car. You would have to do a private sale of significantly more money to justify the cost benefit, let alone the effort and headache of doing a private car sale. Used car prices are so good right now that I'm getting around $1k less on trade in then what I bought the car for.

The Impreza is officially gone. Man, I loved that thing and I really hope it goes to a good home. I'm still getting used to an automatic since all of my vehicles are manual, but I will say my new Legacy is pretty awesome. I had to make it my own, so bought a set of STI 19's for it and I'm in love!
