I recently bought strobe brake lights 7440/7443 to put into my 2017 Impreza hatchback but when I remove the taillights, the only bulbs I see are my side and rear markers as well as my turn signal. 7440/7443 was said to fit my hatchback but I can’t seem to find where the brake light bulb is, does anyone know how to access the brakes or how I can install these strobe brakes?

Not 100% sure, but I believe the brake lights are LED's built into the housing and are non-replaceable.

If you wanted strobing brake lights, I believe you'd have to either cut apart the wiring on the taillight and add in a controller, or make an intermediary wiring harness with the controller installed so that you won't damage the oem harnesses.

That’s because your actual brake lights are led boards
