Hi! I bought a 2017 Impreza a few weeks ago. It has a few more bells and whistles than I have ended up liking, specifically automatic windows and the rear view mirror compass. How can I turn those off?

I read the manual and for the compass it said that it will turn on every time the car turns on, but that has to be changeable, right?

As far as the windows go I'd really like to be able to set the switches so that no matter how far I press the switch, the window stops moving when I take my hand off of it.

on the windows switch, only press down about half to you get the window opening you want ,then release.


this may take a little practice not to push the bottom down all the way.


sorry can't help on the compass.
I have an it doesn't get in my way.
just try to ignore it.

Put a piece of tape on the mirror

You can press and hold the auto dimming button until the compass is turned off. Do the same to turn it on.
