Today the dealership called me and said the words I never thought I'd hear: "Your fog lights are in. When would you like us to install them?"

When I ordered my new Impreza in May 2022, I ordered fog lights to be installed in the factory. I took delivery about a month later with no fog lights - parts shortage. I have been contacting them on and off since June of last year. My dealer told me to call the Subaru customer service line so I did. They were very apologetic and said the fog lights would arrive in December of last year. What can they do to make it better? Well, they made a car payment for me. I'd say that helps to make it better.

But no fog lights in December.

Okay, You'll get them in February.

No fog lights in February,.

I just received a marketing email from Subaru that suggested adding fog lights; just put in the model and year and we'll tell you if they're available. Lo and behold, fog lights for a 2022 5-door are available. I sent my dealer and the customer service rep the link and asked them, "Hey, can't we just order these after-market fog lights and call it good?" So that's what they did. I can't believe that's what it took to get these things. And I can't even get them installed until the end of the month.

Sheesh. I mean, I can't complain that they made a car payment for me - that was above and beyond. But getting these fog lights has been ridiculous. I shouldn't jinx it - they're not installed yet! 😱

It's a literal open clip to remove covers. A single pre wired plug to get them in. Then two mounting screws and a snap in now light bezel. Installing the switch inside is equally as easy. Don't pay to have that shit installed my grandmother could do it with a Phillips screwdriver and 10 minutes and she's 92
