Just so some of you are aware before buying, the foglight kit OLM Complete OEM Style Fog Light Kit - 2017+ Impreza Sport - Fog Lights - Lighting - 17+ Impreza - More... from subiespeed for the Sport is not compatible. The connections do not connect securely. In order for the kit to "work" you have to connect a provided harness to the headlight, sort of like a bypass. Connections do not connect to the existing LED DRL's. The provided harness running from the headlight to the foglights does not connect securely, no matter how hard you press to connect it. Perhaps I got wiring that was faulty or not made properly, I decided to return the kit to subiespeed, but had to pay return shipping. I am a little pi**ed, but it is what it is. RANT: It's mind boggling that Subaru didn't provide a fog light harness so we could just connect foglights, but instead we are stuck with the useless LED DRL's. WTF Subaru? :frown2:

Thank you for the advise. This kit did not appeal to me because they only turn on when the headlights come on. I would like to have a separate switch for the fog lights. Also how about a kit that maybe keeps the DRL's and has Fog Lights. Not sure if there would be enough room for both.

I was looking at the JDM version and they seem to have this

Seems like a lot of auto manufacturers are switching the fog lights out with LED DRL's. There is enough room to have both on the Impreza. I see no need for LED DRL's.

Why not get some after market lights and fit them in the air dam under the license plate area?

The only reason I know of is that my Insurance Co. gives a discount for DRL's. I did not look to see how much it is but they always ask when we add a vehicle.

I was about ready to pull the trigger on this kit, just getting final install numbers in my area as I cannot do this type of thing myself. Even if I were to get this installed by a 3rd party with maybe more options like another harness, if there even is one, this kit is not an option? What did subispeed say? Are they pulling the kit and redesgining it to work with our car? Or just leave it up for the next person to purchase?

I'd rather have the headlights be the DRL's.

My 06 legacy was like that also so Subaru at one point did have it set up like this. If this is the way they want it from the factory, fine, but at least offer it as an option on order or to install aftermarket. They are losing what $400+ times like a million on all the sport owners who want it over the DRL.

I absolutely HATE the LED DRL's & never use them since they only work when car is in D. If they worked with headlights on then I wouldn't mind so much. I would much rather have actual fog lights that I'll use when it gets dark earlier.

Simply because I don't want to be cutting & joining wiring or have anyone else butcher my car. Call me pu**y, but I would prefer a plug & play option. I contacted SOA today to try find out if Subaru has any plans to add an OEM kit for the Sport.

I forgot to include: no instructions came in the box. It was pretty much "here's the kit, figure it out yourself". I emailed subispeed to get assistance, but never received any help or advice with installation, so I decided I'm not wasting anymore time with it. As of this AM, the kit is still available for purchase.

Do you think the Subaru dealership could install it? Or in other words would you trust them to install this kit?

Ask the dealership to install aftermarket parts? They would laugh in your face. I emailed SOA to see if they had any plans to design a foglight kit for the Sport & the reply was basically "no".

So I sent the kit back to Supiespeed & they replied today after inspecting it & stated "I had ***** take a look at the kit since he's our lighting specialist and he noticed that the wrong splitter was sent". I don't if this is convenient or what, but maybe I was just unlucky to receive the wrong part. If anyone purchases this kit, please let me know the results.

For share foglight for Sport. Just recently added foglight switch.
Nice job man, even though I don't know anything about lighting, everytime I see this it makes me wanna tackle what you were able to do haha
Did you add a switch down to the left of the steering wheel?
