Supposedly tint will make the eyesight system turn off or not work as effectively as before because the system is using optical cameras instead of radar for the distancing. That's why if the windshield is too dirty, or you're driving into the sun, it can turn off.
I had 20% on sides and rear with 70% across the windshield on my last car. It was too dark. lol. My current car has 35% and 70% on windshield. bmw's safety camera is right at the windshield so the tint didn't bother it. my daughter's subaru has 35% on the sides and rear and I left the front alone because of the eyesight cameras. I didn't know eyesight came standard on the base models in 2020. I'm actually glad it has it.
