Very cool car. Welcome to the site. Do most Imprezas in Japan have the 2.0 engine, or are many the smaller 1.6 engine?

Thanks a lot!
The 5th gen Imprezas in Japan are mostly powered by 2.0 engines;
75% of the 5-door hatchbacks have 2.0 engines and 80% of the 4-door types have 2.0 engines, according to Subaru.

The 2.0 engine can be selected as NA or Hybrid.
Newest 2.0 grade in Japan, the NA engine can also be selected as STI Sport grade.

Currently, the Impreza STI Sport grade (5-door hatchback only), which is equipped with a special suspension tuned by STI, is popular among Japanese Impreza fans.

I saw some cool modifications on your car that can't be done in Japan. Excellent! Thank you!

Thank you for your reply.
My mirror cover is fake carbon cover from internet shop in Japan.
Manufacturer is CAR MATE which popular maker of car items in Japan.
CAR MATE part number is DZ360 (only for Murakami 7225 type mirror).

Please see my Japanese Impreza website MINKARA.

Review of Mirror cover

Attach STI log to mirror cover

Love the whole look to it. Joined this community to get some inspiration on things i should do to my 2017 impreza sport. Not many things out there, at least performance wise. I’m not sure why Subaru would give up so much performance the older imprezas have and substitute it for cosmetics, but either way i love the car.

Some of these pictures are a little old, since some of these i’ve tinted my fog lights, tinted every light on the back of the car ;), and blacked out my roof rack. Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Welcome! I've been following your build for awhile. Found you on Instagram and always check up on your MINKARA profile. You've done so much to your car that I want to do! Especially the extended tail light.

Thank you very much for your visiting my instagram and MINKARA website!
The extended tail light is the one of the most favorite point of my car.
This is one of my proudest points, as not many people in Japan are still doing it.

And another favorite point is sequential turn signals.
Especially, rear turn signals are by DIY, as not many people in Japan still doing it, too.

alright....... I must know how you were able to get the inner tail lights to work. I have been researching ways on how to do this at home. I even bought a broken inner light to cut open to see what I can do to make this work.

please share your secrets!
