Haha I got them as a bday present. Friends let me pick what I wanted.

I bought the 8 pin male plugs and unpinned the wires I needed from the 16 plug onto the 8 pin.

Didn't need to extend the wires at all. Was pretty easy to install.

Awesome. Might I ask what your total cost was just for reference? Last I saw was looking upwards of $1000 for a pair of limited headlight assy.

So my limited headlights are JDM. Was 900 cad (700 USD). The male 8 pin plugs costed 3 dollars for both.

I actually like the JDM ones more since I don't need to put a sticker on it for amber deletes.

For sure! Might be a while though before I get the cash together... for now I stick with the Beamtech LED upgrade :D

Oh nice! That's the exact headlight I replaced. I also had beamtech in my halogen housings haha.

I had the black out amber deletes on those too.

Nice!
How do these ones compare in terms of brightness and light spread? I assume better as they're projectors.

The cut off is miles ahead of beamtech but mostly due to projectors. In terms of brightness they seem close.

The limited headlights feels more refined and less spread for sure.

When I drove out of the city at night in the beamtechs. I would get flashed.

Had no issues in the city. They were correctly adjusted. Just a little too much light spread.

Interesting. I've never been flashed in city or not, I did have to re-align my bulbs after installing them slightly as they were pointed too high. I used the 10000LM ones.

Thanks for the suggestions, will be nice to see the strong cut off :D

Oh adaptive steering doesn't work. So it's basically like a normal projector setup. To do the adaptive steering, you need a lot more money and parts.

For what it does I didn't think it was worth it to pursue.

I soldered them to my low beam positive because I leave my lights on the always on position. I never turn it to the off position so it works for my habits.

The problem with JDM headlights (as well as those for the British and AU/NZ markets) is that they ae designed to throw light to the LEFT of the centerline further than to the right, as would be required in markets where they drive on the left. So, get used to people flashing their high-beams at you every time you end up in traffic, and also find yourself having to crank your aiming screws all the way either down or right to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. Because, these headlamps were never designed to be used in markets where people drive on the right side.

In the end, you'll find that adjusting your headlamps to such an extreme setting will mean that you'll have a less useable light pattern than your stock lights had, and you'll probably end up putting them back in.
