If you go to the sites below using Chrome and right click to "Translate to English", it shows that the Japanese Impreza models do have the advanced engine features proposed with the prototype. Including a few that I haven't heard of before (SI-DRIVE).

It also shows a MPG rating of 17 KM/H, which is 39 MPG. The pricing press release that came out a few days ago shows 38 MPG for the 2.0i sedan CVT. It is so frustrating to have to do all this digging for information. They should just release the specs and let everyone know.

I definitely agree that they should just release a complete pdf outlining everything spec wise that people want to know. Just makes life easier and shows that transparency which people love to see of course. That being said, if it gets 38mpg, that'll be pretty darn good. But we have to see what it does in real world testing opposed to what's on paper.

Just keep in mind that MPG rating they show us is always the best case scenario so what we get will be dependent on how good of a driver we can be and how good or bad the conditions are around us. But overall its a range, some people might get lucky and report higher, not an uncommon thing.
