Forgot to add models with 18"wheels have
Sport tuned suspension and Active Torque Vectoring
When cornering torque on inside wheels shifts to outside wheels for better handling

Alrighty so 60:40 under regular conditions it is. Draw that one in stone.

I came across that article & was curious on how the AWD system in the Impreza operates. So basically the front wheels do most of the work until they lose traction & then the rear wheels take over to regain traction?

Thankfully, my manual transmission car is a good old genuine 50:50 split. It doesn't pretend to be a fwd car.

Check out the links posted in this thread & check out YouTube videos. Symmetrical AWD is basically "a longitudinally mounted boxer engine coupled to a symmetrical drivetrain with equal length half-axles".
