I put mine on myself in about 2 minutes. Just clean the surface well with alcohol and peel and stick. That's it. The film is less than a millimeter thick so no clearance issues.

Thanks for the tips. Which cover did you install, just the 2018 Crosstrek bumper cover or a different specific one?

OEM Crosstrek one from parts...had it built into my deal when I bought the car so it was "free". I think it's about $58 at the parts department. Solid black plastic.
