Hey, I got an NRG aluminum e-brake and wanted to replace the stock.
I followed online instructions and was able to remove the e-brake handle with no problem.
However the button is attached to a plastic rod inside the metal handle and it is going to snap if I give it any serious twisting.
Can anyone suggest a method for removing this button?

I know the buttons available for the WRX/STI don't fit. I was thinking about filling the threads followed by drill & tapping.

It looks good. I think I'll go a similar route.
So the OEM button is press-fit on an unthreaded plastic rod? I think that what I'm reading on the WC Lathe Werks site, but not what I expected.
