Hey all. I am seeing a lot of folks using this part 20451VA000 20mm Rear sway on many variations of Subaru's. However not seeing much info on it for an Impreza. I do see it fits an 2017 Crosstek.
The car in question is a 2017 Sport Hatch. Any ideas?

The 2017 crosstrek and the 2017 Impreza hatch aren’t the same platform so the likely hold that it will fit is smal

The 2017 Crosstrek is the prior generation, the 2018+ crosstreks are the generation that matches the 2017+ imprezas. There's a chance that the swaybar has remained unchanged between the generations, but I would believe that chance is small. And may be even smaller due to the height difference between the imprezas and crosstreks that may have been accounted for in either the sway bar itself, or just by utilizing longer endlinks.

Sway bar spec for sgp platform
2017+ impreza
front 22mm / rear 14mm
2018+ crosstrek and 5th gen. forester
front 24mm / rear 16mm
sway bars for crosstrek and forester are compatible to impreza's.
But sway bar rubbers should be replaced.

So, aside from the difference in swaybar diameter, the 2018+ crosstreks must use different swaybar end links to account for the ride height difference?

2018+ Crosstrek:
front swaybar endlinks: 20420FL020 (right), 20420FL030 (left)
rear swaybar endlinks: 20470FL000 (right), 20470FL010 (left)

2019 Impreza Limited:
front swaybar endlinks: 20420FL00A (right), 20420FL01A (left)
rear swaybar endlinks: 20470FL020 (right), 20470FL030 (left)

Subaruparts also shows two different sway bars, a 22mm (20401FL00A) and a 19mm (20401FL01A). Is the 22mm on the sport trim, but 19mm std on the rest of the trims?

Got to make corrections about this
The front sway bar is identical to sgp XV and 5th gen forester
But rear sway of impreza has different shape compared to sgp XV and 5th gen forester.
Maybe the most convenient way to upgrade is to get a HardRace sway bar set.
Sorry for the previous misleading information.

Thanks Motor.
I did look into the Hard Race rear sway. It just didn't seem that much of a change (1mm) to me for the price.

Yeah the rear sway bars are different for the 2017+ Impreza Sport and 2018+ Crosstrek. The brackets that hold them are definitely different even though the bars themselves seem similar.
