I've got a 2017 Sport CVT 5-door with Eyesight, 8" infotainment. When navigating through the upper display's info menus, it seems that for whatever reason, the weather display is stuck telling the current weather in NYC. I'm in Pittsburgh. The weather in NYC is not of interest to me.
I've looked at the manual, and it doesn't have all that much info about how the location is determined other than that you need a current SiriusXM subscription (I'm in the preview period now).

Is anybody else having this issue or know a way around it? Will that info screen disappear once my SiriusXM subscription expires? Or will it just show incorrect information forever?

Following as ours is also stuck on New York. I was able to change the location in the settings screen on the "radio" screen but made no difference in what is displayed on the upper screen.

To change the weather, you need to go into the siriusXM settings in the radio and update the location used for travel link. That's the SXM option for weather/gas/directions. The list of cities available was somewhat disappointing, i had to pick from metro areas that are both at least an hour away form me. It would be nice if it was more localized, but it was better than knowing the weather in NYC.

I didn't find any location settings under the sxm settings menu. All it had was subscription status. Do you have the navigation model?

Go to Apps and you will find Travel Link. Delete New York City and put the city of your choice in there. That will fix your issue!

That did it, thanks! I wonder what happens once I let my SiriusXM subscription cancel?

You most likely won't be able to SiriusXM stations maybe

Thank you big time for this information. I looked all over to try and find out how to change the weather from New York City. Saved me a call/trip to the dealer.

The Subaru Starlink iPhone app has some info about the weather & other apps. Download the app > Pair your phone to your vehicle > Launch Subaru Starlink from the apps menu & away you go! "Apple devices may require a USB connection".

Connect your phone via USB. On your infotainment system click apps > Subaru Starlink > scroll for weather app > click F or C on the top right next to the refresh icon & it will change (see pic).

Took me a while to figure it out. But you can change it. Although unless you live near one of the cities in the system its pretty useless. The closest city they have near us is about an hour away. So the weather is always different.
