I'm currently at the dealership and they're working on the update. Apparently, they're having problems downloading the software from Subaru's site...
They did confirm there is an update available.

We'll see how this goes.

A note of caution:
Be prepared to wait awhile at your dealership for them to get the update.
Apparently, I was the first person to request this TSB at Stohlman Subaru in Tysons Corner, VA.

I was there for almost 3 hours, primarily because they were having major issues downloading the file.

Anywhoo, I'm still having issues with Android Auto disconnecting randomly on this update, so maybe it's just my phone that's the culprit.

You can't do it yourself. You need the Subaru file on a flash drive and Subaru does not make it available to the public.

That is correct, unless someone posts the file somewhere public.

I spoke to one of the Subaru employees yesterday at the dealership and he said the same thing.
I asked if it would void the warranty if I tried to flash the OS myself, and he said, "Probably".

I got the update yesterday at the dealer. Customer copy of my receipt shows tech performed audio unit update. Current 2.17.22.30. Available version is 17.43.30.

Go to your settings menu and check what version you're running.
If it doesn't show U0.18.22.20, you need to go back to the dealership.

Just a note I have a “MID” level HK unit (no nav). I had version 18.43.20 already, spent 2 hours at the dealer today for them to update it to the same version ? so I’m assuming there is nothing newer and 19.17.20 is only for the Nav model.

I REALLY wish it wasn’t so painful to get the firmware updates on something we own. Next Subaru I get I’ll definitely get the Nav model since you all can do your own updates. It makes me also wonder why no Tech at a dealer somewhere (or friend of a tech) uploads the firmware online. It’s not like this is highly classified material ?

I have a similar mid-level HK unit (no nav) in my '17 Premium. My current software version is Rel_U0.18.43.20.
Is this the latest version then? My car is currently at the dealership for some suspension issues. I would love to have them install an update if there's one available.

The service bulletin states that the recent update, Rel_A1_19_17_20 , is for Harman Gen3's and valid for the following:

2017-18MY Impreza & 2018MY Crosstrek:

Sounds like it may be applicable to most head units then.
