I’ve been trying to install a sub and amp into my 2019 Impreza sport tech but it turns out there’s nowhere to directly plug the rca cables into on these head units. Does anyone know if I need to splice female ends of rca into both front and rear for either side or if it could just be run off the fronts or rears

I put a powered sub in my Sport hatch with the HK system. I had to tap into the the front door speaker wires and used the high level input into the amp. The HK factory amplifier has a built in crossover and sends low frequencies only to the front door speakers.

I tapped into the front door speakers through the harness in the back of the head unit. Picked up an rca adapter for $30 at Canadian tire. Amp won’t turn on so I’m thinking I got a faulty amp. I’ve heard mixed reviews on rockvilles so I guess I got one out of the faulty batch. I’ll update on here if I get it working

Yes I have. Connector told me to splice into both positive and negative on both front speakers then ground and constant power. Coming out of the bottom end is the 2 rca ports and the remote signal wire. I’ll add a pic on here when I’m home from work

Yeah, I'm not following how you have the remote signal set up. It would verify that the remote wire is getting 12V when you turn on the car. Also verify the the main power wire is hot while you are testing.

I used a tap fuse from an open spot in the fuse box. I also wired in a switch so I can turn the amp off when I'm not listening to music.
