Pics or it didn't happen.
Those Forester tires are a full 4 inches larger in diameter than stock Impreza tires. I simply can't believe they fit on an Impreza without rubbing everywhere.
For those who doubted me sorry for the long wait but i got the chance to change the tires today to 215/50/17 but i was running 255/60/17 for a good 3 month. Only time i rubbed was when a big pot hole.

Hey there, got a person willing to sell me some CrossTrek wheels (225/60/17) for my hatch. Did you have any issues at stock ride height with rubbing? Also, did you have any issues with timing with the size of these tires?

I was running tires that were way bigger and only had issues with a hard turn and i mean like emergency type turning or when the wife would not avoided pot holes. But normal driving there was no rubbing. I'm pretty sure there was wheel speed differences but i didn't notice.

And you said you were at stock ride height with yours, correct? That's honestly impressive xD

I have a 2017 Impreza premium, w/stock Conti 205/55/16’s: What might my other options be, on the stock 16” rim?
Thanks!
Falken Wildpeak 215/70/r16 (27.8in) on stock rims and stock suspension. Does not rub until full lock at speed and bottoms out occasionall so I ordered a 1in lift from adf.

Hey this is an old post but I’m very curious, what’s your gas milage look like with the wildpeaks? I’m thinking about a similar set up on a base model but wanna know how bad the MPGs will tank

I think I lost about 2-3 mpg in my day to day driving. Im was averaging low 30s before but now Im getting about 27-28mpg. If you factor in the speedometer difference of about 10% its about a 2mpg loss.

FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL 215/65R16 102H XL is the best size for no lift. Also great size with lift. Only time it rubs is when braking hard while turning and that's only because of my mud guards.

I've been looking at threads and posts within this section to see what I could do. Looking to max out the width on a stock 16" wheel. What would that be without rubbing or coming off the wheel? Seen a lot of 215 and 225 widths, but not much more. Anyone push it beyond that on a 16" and getting away with it? Looking for somewhere around 60 tall. Just a bit more height than stock. Found a 235/65/16. At 65, that's almost more sidewall than I want. Not sure if that's pushing it. Just a touring style tire.
